Dear Swasti Adhikari, Considering COVID 19 pandemic we promote the Swasa mask without an excel valve for human life protection. Suppose the COVID19 infected person wearing a mask with an exhale valve, he/she is 100% contaminating the surrounding by spreading virus because Air is coming out from the valve is not filtered.

You can sanitize the mask by simply spraying sanitizer on both the outer and inner side of it when you use it second time.
Washing of SWASA N95 mask is neither required nor suggested as it may compromise with the efficiency of the mask. You can, however, disinfect the mask by spraying sanitizer on both the inner and outer side of it. If you still wish to wash it, we suggest heat up water till boiling point and wash it with that. You can add any disinfectant (like Dettol) to the water if you want. DO NOT USE detergent as it can cause irritation to the skin and may result in blocking the pores of the mask.

Good mask, request in the interest of general public, pl give detailed procedure of reusing the mask. In your replies you mention that mask is not required to be washed, in the end you also mention that if you want wash it with boiled water. Can we keep the used mask in the original cover after use and reuse after gap of 5-6 days. Do you also provide head clips for avoiding ear pain

Like you have mentioned, we do not recommend washing the mask but in case, someone absolutely wants to wash it for some reason then we suggest the boiling water method. Otherwise, you can spray sanitizer on it and you are good to go. Also, you can keep the mask in the original cover and re use as and when required.
As of now, we are not providing head clips but we will soon launch that on our website. I hope your doubt is cleared. Please free to ask in case of any further queries.

Hi,
Double masking is suggested if you go for a 3 ply surgical mask. You need to wear a 3 ply surgical mask first and top it up with a 3 ply cotton mask. However, if you use N95 mask, then you do not need to go for double masking. Infact. double masking while using an N95 mask is not recommended. Double masking is advised if you are unable to get an N95 mask. Thus, SWASA N95 mask is enough protection in itself.

I have seen many people wearing double mask even in case of N95 mask. Is there need to wear double mask with N95 mask?

The need for double masking arises only if you are using 3 ply surgical masks. You do not need to go for double masking if you use N95 mask. Infact, it is recommended NOT to use double masking if you are wearing an N95 mask.

You have claimed that due to nanotechnology, the outer surface kills the virus on contact upto 100 hours of use. Is the inner surface also capable of that?
And can you confirm any certification in support of the claim.
