Hi,
1. SWASA Carbon masks are N95 masks with five layer filtration.
2. Washing of SWASA N95 mask is neither required nor suggested as it may compromise with the efficiency of the mask. You can, however, disinfect the mask by spraying sanitizer on both the inner and outer side of it. If you still wish to wash it, we suggest heat up water till boiling point and wash it with that. You can add any disinfectant (like Dettol) to the water if you want. DO NOT USE detergent as it can cause irritation to the skin and may result in blocking the pores of the mask.

The only difference between the two is that the Carbon masks are made using super active carbon technology which prevents the breathing odor from lingering in the mask. All other specifications are same for both the masks.

Hi Rajal,
All SWASA masks come with two earloops, one for each side of the face. We had recently introduced masks with adjustable headloops and not earloops.

The filtration capacity of both the masks are exactly the same. The only difference is that the Super Active Carbon Technology used in the Carbon Masks absorb the bad smell of our own odor so you do not get it while wearing the mask.

Why the activated carbon layer has been removed from the inner side of these masks??
Earlier purchased activated carbon masks have outer as well as inner layer of black carbon layer..

Hi,
The activated carbon layer is the second layer of the mask. The last layer is of another fabric which was usually black but was changed to white for some time. It has been switched back to black. However, there is only one layer of activated carbon and that is the second layer.
